Meet Asia

Asia Charles is a mindfulness coach, teacher, and creative arts therapy facilitator with a psychology and therapeutic arts background. She is passionate about integrating mindfulness with the healing arts to support individuals in re-connecting with their authentic selves. Beyond her professional endeavours, Asia is dedicated to her own creative and meditation practices, exploring deeply the intersection of healing, creativity, and spirituality.

  • Story:

    My journey into mindfulness and creative arts has been profoundly personal, shaped by challenges and a desire to gather the once-scattered pieces of myself. Early on, I discovered the far-reaching impact of awareness and creative self-expression on growth and self-acceptance.

    Through my studies in psychology, training in the therapeutic arts, and healing journey, I realised the power of integrating mindfulness into creative practices, which focus on inner connection and the creative process.

    This understanding has fueled my passion to provide supportive spaces for anyone to explore, discover, and reclaim their authentic selves.

    Everyone has a unique story worth telling. Here, we connect to that story, express it, integrate it, and move toward greater wholeness.

Mindfulness Programmes

  • 8-Week MBSR: Based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s original approach, this 8-week MBSR program helps participants manage stress, anxiety, depression, and physical pain through self-awareness, kindness, and compassion. It’s ideal for those looking to support their well-being by incorporating mindfulness into daily routines, understanding reactivity patterns, and finding healthier responses to life’s stressors. Each session integrates mindfulness practices with psychoeducation to build resilience, cultivate joy, and experience greater fulfillment

  • 8-Week MBSR for Children and Young People: This programme introduces children and young people to mindfulness-based concepts and practices for kindness, self-compassion, and self-awareness to enhance self-regulation, focus, and overall well-being. Adapted from Jon Kabat-Zinn’s 8-week MBSR course, it provides children and young people with age-appropriate and engaging techniques to become more resilient in a fast-paced world.

Weekly Drop-In Sessions

These sessions invite participants to pause, check in with themselves, and engage in mindfulness practices that encourage "returning to our seat."

With guided practices and a facilitated opportunity to share reflections, this trauma-informed space provides a supportive environment for everyone, from beginners to seasoned practitioners, to cultivate mindful awareness and carry it forward into their day.

Creative Arts Facilitation Workshops

These workshops help to foster a deeper connection with yourself and others, offering a space for inner nourishment, community, and creativity. Through expressive activities, such as dance, creative writing, poetry, painting and drawing, drama, and music, participants can enjoy creating, nurturing confidence, releasing creative blocks, and connecting with their emotions and different aspects of themselves for self-acceptance. Each workshop is held in a safe, trauma-informed, and supportive environment, providing an opportunity for self-exploration, creative self-expression, and self-discovery.

Bespoke Creative Program

Creative Beings - Where mindfulness and creativity meet to unleash your most expressive self

I provide a bespoke programme that integrates mindfulness and the creative arts to help you recover and rediscover your creativity. It includes taster sessions, standalone workshops, workshop series, and a comprehensive programme tailored for artists, creatives, and anyone looking to live more creatively or unleash their innate creativity by harnessing the power of presence.

The Held Artist

The Held Artist offers a kind, safe, and co-creative space for sharing creative work in progress. I invite participants to reflect on their creative process and challenges, with the option to receive supportive, facilitated feedback. This space aims to nurture and empower each artist. It is a nurturing environment where creative spirits and creative seedlings can hatch, grow, and express themselves authentically.
